At the time of writing this, I’m a 28 year old freelance Graphic/Web designer. (at least that is what I pretend to everyone)
I’m a total computer/video games addict and have been playing on such devices ever since the early eighties.
I started off playing on ‘Game-and-Watch‘, Acorns, my father’s Thomson 8 and arcade machines… well at least those are the first devices I remember.
I’ve also always been interested in creating games and the first editors I remember using are programs on the Amiga such as S.E.U.C.K. (shoot ‘em up construction kit) and Amos. I was introduced to Pascal (yay, total waste of time) and C+ at school, but never really got into those.
Further, I would make animations/cartoons in programs such as D-paint etc.
Here’s a little rundown of the systems I’ve owned.
Thomson 8 - Old French made PC. It had a couple of games… few that were good.
NES - My first real console ever. It’s life cut short by my sister’s cable gnawing rabbit.
Lynx - My first hand-held console which used to power through batteries like it was going out of fashion.
MegaDrive + Mega-CD - One of my favourite consoles. It’s the console that enabled me to play Street Fighter II at home for the first time. (and gave me my first epileptic fit in the process)
Amiga 600 HD - Amiga 1200 (with pimped out HD and RAM) - God I adored the Amiga series at the time. Really started me off in the world of computers properly.

First Person Shooter
Unreal Tournament 2004 - Absolutely addicted to this game.
Far Cry - I was so waiting to play Half-Life 2 when this game came along and gave me all that HL2 promised a lot earlier.
Fighting
Tekken 2 - The intricate counter moves are what first did it for me, in this game.
Street Fighter 3 - How can you not love this title.
Martial Masters - Excellent fighting game from China with some extremely well drawn and styled sprites.
Last Blade 2 - One of the only weapon based fighters I like.
